The Ministry of Interior requested on Tuesday that the government deduct 3.04 billion ringgit from the current fiscal year to pay for the government’s financial aid to overflow victims in several provinces.

At her first case meeting on Tuesday, Ms. Paetongtarn claimed she had directed the creation of a new commission with the authority to help victims of flooding, storms, and landslides.
The premier emphasized the need to engage with neighboring nations in the Mekong River basin, including Myanmar, to discuss how to collaborate more effectively to improve water management cooperation through the Greater Mekong Subregion ( GMS ) mechanism.
All involved organizations were instructed to ensure that their disaster warning systems function correctly and that people in areas where more floods are expected to occur from Wednesday through Saturday as more instances of heavy rain are anticipated, according to the premier.
