Registration laws are in attempt, it says
The People’s Party ( PP ), the reincarnation of the disbanded Move Forward Party ( MFP), was confirmed by the Election Commission (EC ) on Monday that party branches had been established as required by law.
After Warong Dechgitvigrom claimed to be planning to sue the PP over its former president, Thin Kakao Chaovilai, for not registering enough party trees, the assurance came after the party’s president in Thailand announced his intention to sue.
People of Move Forward’s group were given control of Thin Kakao Chaovilai last Wednesday after their group was disbanded by the Constitutional Court for allegedly undermining the constitutional monarchy. It was renamed People’s Power and launched on Friday.
Dr. Warong claimed that the opposition party had no trees in the South or Northeast, but that Thin Kakao Chaovilai had two trees in the North and one in the Central Plains area. He claimed that a political party can no longer be legally recognized as a political party if it does n’t have at least one branch in each of the four regions for a year in a row.
The Office of the EC’s investigation was concluded, according to EC Secretary-General Sawaeng Boonmee, and Thin Kakao Chaovilai had completed its registration process.
When a group branch is established, “officials are sent to see the proceedings.” The group branch’s creation is regarded as complete and legally binding after the conference to set up a tree, he said.
The social party secretary reviews the process to make sure it complies with the law, according to him.
Mr Sawaeng said the creation of the party trees is perfect, but it has not been formally acknowledged, and the EC’s collection has yet to be updated.
He said the PP is in the process of setting up a tree in Phitsanulok, which, when up and running, will subject a prospect to battle a forthcoming by-election. Padipat Santipada, who was ex-deputy home speaker before Move Forward’s breakdown, was removed from politics as part of the by-election.
PP list-MP Phakhaon Noon-anant demanded that Dr. Warong check the information before threatening to act because the group now has branches in every area.
She likewise challenged Dr Warong, himself a former MP for Phitsanulok, to challenge the by-election to see if voters also assist him.
Dr. Warong also announced on Monday that he would continue to work on the planned petition and would send it to the EC on Wednesday.
” We’re certainly talking about today. By the time it was over, the Thin Kakao Chaovilai Party had those trees in every area [for at least one year], he said, and the EC may check that.
