Eight Thais are still being held captive by Hamas in Gaza, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, after a missing Thai who was thought to be one of them was discovered protected in Israel.
According to Foreign Affairs Minister Parnpree Bahiddha- Nukara, a Thai regional who had vanished in Israel had lately contacted family in Thailand to suggest he was safe, according to the Thai consulate in Tel Aviv.
All Thai victims were still being freed, but the condition in Gaza was also dire. According to the minister, there’s a slim chance that there will soon get another peace and additional hostage releases.
About 9, 000 Thais have been sent back to Israel thus far. According to Mr. Parnpree, about 20,000 Thai citizens have indicated no intention of returning home and are known to be in protected areas away from combat zones.
A total of 23 Thai captives had been freed in Gaza sooner, with nine still being held captive, according to information from the Thai embassy. One Thai national who was previously thought to be one of the nine remaining victims was discovered by the military on Wednesday.
According to the embassy, the person had not been held as a prisoner but had relocated to work elsewhere.
