At least 17 Muslim pilgrims have died in a vehicle accident while visiting a Balochistan temple for Eid as Fitr activities.

The car lost control before crashing into a valley late on Wednesday, according to officials, when the accident occurred.

In Karachi, more than 40 people are even receiving injuries, and police have warned that the number of casualties could fall.

In Pakistan, high accident crashes are frequently brought on by vehicle mistake and poorly maintained roads.

At least five persons had severe head injuries, according to Balochistan Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah, who confirmed to investigators that two children were among those injured.

” They were all very poor people”, he said of the victims, describing them as labourers who had been travelling by truck from the Thatta region in the country’s south, to visit a Sufi Muslim temple in the remote city of Khuzdar some 500km ( 310 miles ) away.

He added that the information of the crash were still under investigation.

Balochistan’s assistant director, Munir Ahmad Kakar, told the BBC that there were some 60 individuals, including people, women and children riding in the vehicle when the incident occurred and that it may have been due to a “break fail”.

Thousands of Muslims all over the world, including those in Pakistan, observe Eid as- Fitr, which means “festival of the bursting of the strong.” It marks the end of Ramadan, a fortnight of fasting, moral reflection and meditation.
