Dustin Puncture Black revealed that he is recovering from a “serious head injury” that the Oscar-winning writer experienced about a 30 days ago.
In an Instagram post on Monday, Black did not share how he sustained his injuries but said it put him “out of commission. ”
“So I vanished for a while… A month ago I sustained a serious head injuries that put myself out of commission, ” Black wrote. “Showing little improvement, our doctors ordered me personally to shut off my brain in hopes of it healing. This has already been a challenging, frightening time for an innovative type who depends on what’s in his skull to work, care plus love. And now I realize the road back is going to be long. ”
Black, who won the particular Academy Award pertaining to original screenplay for the 2008 film “Milk, ” and, more recently, adapted “Under the Banner of Heaven” for FX plus Hulu, shared a number of vacation photos together with his post.
“This week my sweet, over the top husband took us to the Greek Islands to make me shut off, ” Black concluded his note. “I can already really feel this trip is a step in the right path, and I finally really feel safe sharing a bit again. “Mama’s Boy, ” the documentary about Black’s life based on his memoir of the exact same name, is set in order to premiere on HBO on Oct. 19. (CNN and HBO are both part of Warner Bros. Discovery. )
