Dusit Zoo successor to open next year

The new park in Pathum Thani’s Thanya Buri region, which is being constructed to remove the landmark Dusit Zoo, which ended in 2018 after 80 centuries, will be ready to welcome guests next year, according to the Zoological Park Organization.

The park is situated in the Rangsit-Khlong Hok neighborhood, which His Majesty the King has given the 118-rai park in Bangkok’s Dusit city, on a 300-rai plot of land. It will cost about 10.9 billion ringgit to create.

The park will be opened in stages, with the first area entry to the public in 2014, according to chairman Attapon Srihayrun.

A 30-rai people area in the area will be dedicated to His Majesty the King in addition to an enclosure for Asian and African animals.

” At the park, customers will be able to see wild animals in their natural habitats, which will be managed in line with international requirements”, he said.

The remainder of the park is anticipated to start sometime in 2028.

He stated that the park, which will also be a biodiversity education center, is anticipated to attract 1.2 million visitors annually and generate about 5 billion ringgit in revenue.
