According to police, two of the five men who reportedly broke into a home in Pattaya and tied up three Chinese citizens before robbing them of payment, an automobile, and other belongings have been detained.
At around 4.30 am yesterday, a party of Pattaya police detained one suspect in the Muang area of the nearby province of Rayong. According to a policeman resource, he was identified as Chaichana Phimpha, 28.
According to Pol Col Thanapong Phothi, captain of Pattaya police, officers afterwards detained a second man, who was only identified as Bank, 27.
Early on Wednesday, a two-story home at the Pattaya Muang Mai land in the Bang Lamung area was the scene of the crime, according to the local police.
Three Chinese tourists — two men and one woman — were discovered by police and forensic officers in response to a call, still gripped by fear.
The place had been looted, and they had scars all over their body. The three informed the soldiers that the men entered the home early on Wednesday, all of whom were wearing woolen clothes.
The others tied their hands and feet with electric wires while one of them pointed a gun at them.
The pirates took 170,000 ringgit in money, four mobile phones, one iPad, three watches, and a metal band after forcing them to reveal the location of their assets.
The defendants then coerced the victim into sending 207,400 ringgit in two on transfers. Additionally, they took a closed-circuit tv cameras and removed it before escaping with the victims’ Honda vehicle.
In the home, prints have been gathered by investigative officials. Authorities have already looked at protection footage captured by cameras along potential escape routes.
