The native habitat population has grown thanks to abundant grass pastures in Koh Libong and Koh Muk in Trang, according to a recent study, which revealed that the herd has grown in size since the last study.
The flock was spotted during a drone-guided aerial survey of Helmet Chao Mai coastal regional area, according to Jinda Srisuppatpong, the head of the Marine National Park Education and Research Center 3.
He claimed that the cattle today includes a new mom and her baby, adding that halophila ovalis water vegetation is abundant off the coast of Koh Libong and Koh Muk, which allows these alligators to reproduce. The drone’s images show a total of 23 dugongs in the flock.
The dugongs around Koh Libong and Koh Muk are generally healthy, say researchers who have been monitoring the herd.
” It’s good news for the dugongs ‘ food security in the long run,” Mr. Jinda said.
He claimed that the office’s efforts to conserve the park’s marine habitat are paying off with the growing dugong population and steady food supply.
