A drunken day out in Tokyo caused a Chinese fund government official to lose documents containing personal data about nearly 200 people who were suspected of having engaged in illegal drug dealing, according to local media.
Public broadcaster NHK reported on Monday that the national with the agency’s customs and tax bureau guzzled nine glasses of beer during a five-hour rampage before realizing their bag had vanished.
Papers containing the names and addresses of 187 people, including those allegedly smugglers and recipients of cannabis seeds, were included in the missing case.
The standard reportedly started drinking with customs workers in Yokohama, near Tokyo, at around 6pm Thursday.
The event” considerably undermined open trust in us, and we’re greatly sorry,” the government told local press, adding that the official in question may be harshly punished.
