Accused genius of the plan that caused B10 billion in losses, who is still at large?

Boon Vanasin, the leader of Thonburi Healthcare Group, and 16 others have been charged in a fraud case involving more than 10 billion ringgit, according to the prosecution.
The 86-year-old practitioner is accused of raising large sums of money from investors in Thai and foreign healthcare businesses. Many people believed the projects were sound, but the Department of Special Investigation ( DSI) found that his own reputation and that of the SET-listed hospital business were not.
The offences allegedly took place starting in 2010 and continued until December 2024, in multiple locations, including Huai Khwang and Bangkok Noi districts in Bangkok, as well as other areas across Thailand, resulting in estimated damages of about 16.1 billion baht, according to Sakkasem Nisaiyok, spokesman for the Office of the Attorney-General ( OAG ).
The OAG’s specific litigation office set up a unique working team to evaluate the case because of the large number of victims, the substantial financial damage, and the general public interest.
After detailed account, prosecutors decided to prosecute Dr Boon and some, including his ex-wife Charuvarn Vanasin and child Nalin Vanasin.
But, Dr. Boon and two other suspects, Thitiporn Chalermrattanapratip and Kotchaporn Suwanakood, have not been apprehended. Dr. Boon is thought to reside in China.
The DSI has been given the task of making sure their imprisonment occurs within the 15-year statute of limitations.
The Criminal Court has now heard from the prosecutions against the remainder.
