Six team members and 79 people were still in Bangkok on Wednesday to receive treatment for their injuries from “extreme volatility” on a Singapore Airlines trip that had to land in Suvarnabhumi Airport for an emergency on Tuesday.

Six people officially suffered severe injuries, while 39 have reasonable injuries caused during the trip from London, in which a 73- year- old English man died, apparently of a heart attack.

The remaining 131 passengers and 12 crew members on Flight SQ321 made their way to Singapore via a relief flight on Wednesday morning, according to a statement from Singapore Airlines ( SIA ) posted on its Facebook page.

They were greeted at Changi Airport by the firm’s CEO Goh Choon Phong, who earlier expressed his “deepest apologies” to the community and loved ones of the dying customer.

The customer who died was identified as Geoffrey Kitchen, 73, of Thornbury, Gloucestershire, according to The Telegraph news in the UK. He and his wife Linda were among the 47 American passengers on board the plane when, due to the extreme conditions, the aircraft dropped to around 6, 000 legs.

” We also express our deep regret for the stress that all passengers and crew members on this journey experienced. We are assisting and supporting them in this difficult time, along with their families and loved ones,” Mr. Goh said in a statement released by the airport.

SIA claimed that for people traveling to Singapore, transportation to their houses or hotels had been planned. The carrier has rebooked those with westward connections for substitute flights and provided them with hotel accommodations or lounge access until their flights leave.

A committed SIA group from Singapore is stationed in Bangkok to enable our colleagues and the local government. The airport stated that we are offering all of our assistance to SQ321’s passengers and crew members who are still stationed in Bangkok.
