Dozens of workers trapped in collapsed Bangkok high-rise

Three deaths reported as volunteers hair the rubble of a 30-story building that is being constructed.

After the devastating disaster that erupted in Bangkok on Friday, firefighters rushed to help workers who were trapped in the dust of a torn-down high-rise building close to Chatuchak Market.

Three confirmed dead, according to deputy prime minister Phumtham Wechayachai on Friday evening, and 81 people were trapped in the dust of the 30-storey construction.

According to a review, there were about 400 foreigners and Thai employees working at the construction site. The wounded were being taken to Bangkok’s local hospitals.

According to assistant auditor-general Sutthipong Boonnithi, who was current at the landscape, the building, which is situated on an 11-rai page on Kamphaeng Phet Road, was being constructed for the Office of the Auditor General.

The$ 2 billion-baht building was 30 % finished when construction started in 2020. The building had reached the top of the stairs.

ITD-CREC, a joint venture between Italian-Thai Development Plc and China Railway No 1 ( Thailand ), is the project’s principal contractor. According to Mr. Sutthipong, a joint venture made up of PN Synchroniz, W and Associates Group, and KP Consultants and Management was in charge of checks. ( The story continues below )

Schoolchildren in Bangkok were frightened when the earthquake shook Siamscape, a mixed-use tower in Siam Square that even houses tutoring institutions. Some institutions burst into the ceiling and walls, creating breaks. According to a article on the X account#, the children were briefly encased in the building before being carefully evacuated out.

When strong rattling was felt in Klong Toey, hundreds of people were ejected from the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, where the National Book Fair was taking place.

According to the Publishers and Booksellers Association of Thailand, the good has been closed to the public for the time being.
