Don Mueang airport preps for 700,000 Songkran travellers

During the Songkran holiday, Don Mueang International Airport anticipates about 700,000 people passing through its gateways, an increase of 10 % over the previous year.

Kerati Kijmanawat, president of Airports of Thailand Plc ( AoT), stated on Wednesday that Don Mueng airport was prepared to handle the influx.

Wichit Kaewsaitiam, director of Don Mueang aircraft, reported that April 11 was the peak time for employees to travel back to their native provinces for the holiday. &nbsp,

Don Mueang aircraft may offer free parking from 00.01 am on April 12 to evening on April 16 for added convenience for passengers.

According to Mr. Wichit, shuttle cars may run continuously between the five-story car park tower and Gate 6 for passengers.

From April 11 through April 17 were 4, 391 airlines scheduled, an average of 627 airlines per day, an increase of 3.1 % over the same time last year. He said 2, 705 were domestic flights, up by 7.3 %

He claimed that during the seven-day holiday, 701 and 636 individuals were expected to travel to Don Mueang aircraft, an average of 100, 234 per day, an increase of 10.8 % over the Songkran of the previous year.
