Dog mauls owner to death

In a Saraburi home, a daughter discovers the body of an 84-year-old victim with a dog chained outside.

An old man has died after his dog viciously attacked him at his family home in the Kaeng Khoi area of this core province.

The badly mauled body of 84-year-old Khan ( surname not given ) was found on Thursday by his daughter, Tim, on the ground floor of his two-storey home in the Din Sor Pong community of tambon Thap Kwang.

Close by was the household dog, a mix between a Thai species and a dog, called Jao Dam, chained to a shaft. The puppy was barking furiously.

His left arm and abdomen had numerous bite marks, and the wounded body had lost part of his right shoulder.

Khan’s personal belongings were scattered all over the earth ground, suggesting a desperate battle prior to his death, according to rescuers from the Ruam Katanyu Foundation who were present at the scene.

Khan’s girl discovered his body at least 24 hours before he was believed to possess passed away. He also had 7, 000 ringgit in dollars in his hands.

Authorities are looking for the broken arm.

Prayong, 52, Khan’s brother, said the female dog was about five years old and had been raised by his father since it was a puppy.

He claimed that he thought the dog had attacked his parents while it was chained. It turned aggressive, perhaps as a result of prolonged restraint. &nbsp,

The defendant’s child claimed that she had no idea when the harm happened. When she went to see her parents on Thursday night, he was dead.

Khan was living with his elder brother, who suffers from a psychological condition, she added.
