Thailand and Malaysia intend to revitalize the primary train service that runs between Butterworth, Bangkok, and Butterworth, and to expand the current Hat Yai-bound Indonesian excursion train to contain Surat Thani.

The State Railway of Thailand ( SRT ) and KTMB, which operates trains in Malaysia, have agreed in principle on a test run of a service between Bangkok and Butterworth.

Awirut Thongnet, the deputy governor of SRT, announced on Tuesday that a joint study may be conducted into the plan. The international service would immediately be able to run for six months.

In 2016, the SRT discontinued its everyday express service between Butterworth and Bangkok, and otherwise limited its travel to Padang Besar on the Malaysian border. To travel to Butterworth and other locations in Malaysia, passengers may move to a Malaysian coach at Padang Besar. &nbsp, &nbsp,

In Songkhla province’s Sa Dao area, Padang Besar stop is on the frontier. The Indonesian city that is located directly opposite has the same name. The two places share the place.

Butterworth is a coastal town in northeastern Malaysia’s Penang condition, and the gate to common Penang area.

The two railroad companies also made a commitment to promote hospitality by expanding the way of the Indonesian trip excursion train, My Sawasdee, which leaves Hat Yai abruptly. It will be moved to Surat Thani at a time that will be discussed later.

Malay depart from Kuala Lumpur solely on vacation, and My Sawadee makes a stop in between to Hat Yai, which is a very popular tourist destination for Malay.

Surat Thani is home to a number of well-known hotel territories.

Agreement in process for the fresh service was reached at a meeting of the two companies in Kota Kinabalu, in Malaysia’s Sabah position, and announced on Tuesday.
