
TAK: Security forces are detained Thai citizens for smuggling energy into Myanmar, and residents of the Phop Phra area of Tak near Myawaddy are facing a shortage of diesel.
Local residents in the Phop Phra borders city reported that local gas stations had a limited supply of diesel. However, some people were trying to smuggle fuel into opposite Myawaddy village in Myanmar, to which , Thai authorities cut off supplies of energy, oil and internet connectivity in order to address scam gangs near the border.
Three Thai people were detained on Saturday nights by members of the Ratchamanu work force as they pushed four buckets from Phop Phra’s Ban Muen Ruechai town into the Moei River, which borders Myawaddy.
The containers contained completely 800 gallons of gasoline.
The three Thai soldiers claimed they were bringing gasoline into Myawaddy by smuggling it with the soldiers on guard.
After the threshold, reports claimed that the retail cost of fuel in Myanmar towns close to Thailand’s border had nearly doubled.
