Developing: Transport Minister Iswaran at State Courts following corruption probe

SINGAPORE: Transport Minister S Iswaran was seen arriving at the State Courts on Thursday morning (Jan 18), following a probe by Singapore’s anti-graft agency.

The minister, whose political career spans nearly 30 years, was the subject of an investigation by the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB). He was arrested on Jul 11 and subsequently released on bail.

Hotel Properties Limited managing director Ong Beng Seng was also arrested on the same day. The billionaire is widely credited with bringing F1 racing to Singapore.

Few details have been released about the CPIB probe into Iswaran. It is not known what he is being investigated for or what his bail quantum was.
