Pol Gen Surachate Hakparn, the assistant federal police chief, has once more denied involvement in any online betting networks and disputed that a judge had refused to issue a warrant for his arrest.
Great Joke, Pol Gen Surachate, claimed on Wednesday that neither he nor his work in the police power had anything to do with online gaming.
When questioned if the legal action being taken against online betting companies was intended to discredit him, he declined to comment.
Pol Gen Surachate claimed that he believed in the justice program, and that a judge had turned down a request for an arrest warrant. There was no request to question him on the subject.
The deputy federal police chief insisted that he had no knowledge of any connections to the BNKMaster gaming website’s three police officers and a human wanted on arrest warrants. He said he had not followed , the media reports.
Two police constables reported being present at the Tao Poon police stop on Wednesday night to claim and embrace the charges relating to the BNKMaster website. They were each released on bail of 100, 000 ringgit.
In the arrest warrants, a police officer and a civil are also named, but they have not yet turned themselves in.
On Tuesday Pol Gen Surachate’s attorney, Nathawit Netijarurote, said there were efforts being made to undermine Pol Gen Surachate because he was now the most top candidate for the federal police leader’s work.
Pol Gen Torsak Sukvimol, the existing federal police commander, is due to retire at the end of September this time.
