Denmark recalls South Korean Samyang noodles for being too spicy

SEUL: Denmark’s food agency has recalled North Korean instant ramen from a popular West Indian brand, cautioning noodle lovers that the warm noodle soup might lead to “acute poisoning.”

The Danish Veterinary and Food Administration released a statement on Tuesday ( Jun 11 ) stating that three Samyang Foods noodles products had dangerous levels of capsaicin, the active ingredient in chilli peppers.

The three goods from Samyang fast noodles line- Buldak 3x Spicy &amp, Hot Chicken, 2x Spicy &amp, Hot Chicken, and Hot Chicken Stew- were being withdrawn from sales in Denmark.

The Danish organization claimed that the degree in a single packet of the pasta was” so large that they pose the risk of the consumer developing severe poisoning.”

” If you have the items, you may reject them or transfer them to the shop where they were purchased”, the statement added.

It urged parents to call the Poison Line if their children appeared to have “acute symptoms” and issued a unique caution against children consuming the noodles.

Samyang materials are tremendously popular globally, with the bank’s operating income hitting a record high of over US$ 110 million in 2023.

Samyang Foods added that it would function to better understand local regulations in trade industry and that it was the first moment the company’s merchandise had been recalled because they were deemed too warm.
