Defence volunteer lured, ambushed, murdered in Yala

Gunmen ambushed and shot dead a military charity after luring him to returning home by setting his pick on hearth, in Krong Pinang district of southeastern Yala state in the early hours of Monday.

Officers were called to the scene in Kadutor town, Moo 3, in tambon Sa-ae about 2am.

Mooyaisa-udee Maha, 45, was lying lifeless near his motorcycle with multiple gunshot wounds. Not far from this figure was a parked delivery truck, its top damaged by fire, Pol Col Torphan Pusanthia, commander of Krong Pinang city authorities, said. &nbsp, &nbsp,

Some spent Ak-47, M-16 and 9mm pistol bullets were scattered over the floor.

The prey was a military charity for Krong Pinang neighborhood office. His weapons was stolen by the murders, Pol Col Torpham said.

Researchers learned that&nbsp, Mooyaisa-udee had earlier gone solely on his bicycle to a nearby community. While he was gone, one set blaze to his pick, which was parked outside his home.

A comparative phoned him with the information and Mooyaisa-udee instantly returned home. When he arrived in front of his home, five militants who had concealed themselves opened fire at him, killing him on the spot. &nbsp,

Police said he was perhaps murdered by dissident rebels, who were active in the area.
