Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen to visit the US, speak at Aspen Security Forum

SINGAPORE: Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen&nbsp, will be making an official visit to the United States this week where he will also address the&nbsp, Aspen Security Forum, the Ministry of Defence ( MINDEF ) said on Monday ( Jul 15 ). &nbsp,

Dr Ng will be in the US from Monday to Thursday. &nbsp,

The department said in a media release that Dr Ng&nbsp, may initially meet his counterpart, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd J Austin III, in Washington DC. &nbsp,

He will then make a speech on Wednesday at the state of Colorado’s 2024 Aspen Security Forum’s opening day. &nbsp,

Dr. Ng’s attend “underlines the excellent and enduring defense ties between Singapore and the US,” according to MINDEF. &nbsp,

The community brings up senior figures in the defense sector, as well as key players from the defense sector, on a yearly security and foreign policy conference. It has been convened every in Colorado since 2010  .

US Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken and CIA Director William Burns are among the listeners this time. &nbsp,
