If you consider what LTA’s goal is, it is not to set a specific value range. Their goal is to try to stabilize the COE supply, to try to reverse some of the boom-and-bust period that we have, because doing so would be detrimental to the economy would result in this serious price and COE supply swing.  ,
It’s because with all these swings in sales, you generate a lot of behavior from car buyers, businesses, and so on, to try to time the business, to try to second guess what’s going to occur.  ,
I do n’t think that makes a lot of sense. So the objective is to stabilise ( the ) supply. However, if they wanted to do that, I do think it would be wiser for them to concentrate on the early years of 2025 and 2026 and add the majority of the supply because that is when stabilization really matters.
