Authorities in Thailand are reviewing the supporting documentation that links Saw Chit Thu and swindling enterprises to international acts.

Authorities in Thailand are awaiting a decision on an arrest attempt on Monday for Karen army chief Saw Chit Thu, who has been linked to the improper companies Thailand is attempting to stop along the Burmese border in Myawaddy.
The Attorney-General’s Office’s Department of Trafficking in Persons Litigation has been in contact with the Department of Trafficking in Persons Litigation regarding the arrest of the rich warrior.
According to a source with knowledge of the situation, the two organizations may meet again on Monday and decide whether to deal with the arrest warrant plea in accordance with the information they have in hands.
Justice Minister Tawee Sodsong and DSI investigators gave a briefing to officials at the National Security Council ( NSC ) on Thursday regarding the information they have about Saw Chit Thu and the Karen National Army (KNA ), formerly known as the Border Guard Force ( BGF), and their connection to illegal activities.
A number of lawyers also took element in the presentation, said the source.
Rangsiman Rome, a People’s Party MP, said he was wondering why the Office of the Attorney-General has yet to endorse the DS I’s ask for the arrest permit, given the popularity of Saw Chit Thu, who faces sanctions from many countries.

However, Saw Chit Thu claimed that his armed group had” a lot” done to combat human trafficking and had assisted in the recovery and return of numerous trafficked patients.
According to a report from The Independent Irrawaddy, an independent news website, the BGF’s participation in Chinese-run website frauds, illegal casinos, and online betting procedures in Myawaddy was exposed in May of last year by the right group Justice for Myanmar.
Similar restrictions were put in place by the UK and the EU, which even put restrictions on Mote Thone and Tin Win, in December 2023 against claims of human trafficking, forced labor, and human rights violations.
In his capacity as chairman of the House standing council on state protection, border affairs, national approach, and land reform, Mr. Rangsiman said the planned arrest warrant would demonstrate how seriously the Thai authorities takes its commitment to addressing the call center con problem at its root.
