Nachale Boonyapisomparn, a trans woman and vice president of the Foundation of Transgender Alliance for Human Rights, said some rules need to be updated after the identical relationship bill is passed.

Nachale Boonyapisomparn, a trans woman and vice-president of the Foundation of Transgender Alliance for Human Rights, believes that some rules need to be updated then that Thailand has passed the marriage justice costs.

At the Bangkok Post Pride Every Day platform on Wednesday at Lido Connect in Siam Square, Nachale said,” The introduction of the landmark legislation requires a significant effort to release several laws and social norms to coincide with the new constitutional landscape.”

For example, while the bill changes the legal term to “spouse” instead of “husband ” or “wife”, it still uses “mother ” and “father ” in the family section.

“ I am a transgender person. Under Thai laws, if I want to have my own children, I will still be a ‘father’, Nachale said. “ I don’t want to be a father in the marriage, I want to become a family. ”

Nachale acknowledges that significant work still needs to be done, despite praising the new law, a success that was achieved after 20 years of hard work. Important issues like legal gender identification, exposure to hormone replacement therapy protection, and gender-affirming care still need to be addressed.

Following the passage of the bill, Plaifah Kyoka Shodladd, an referral member from Bangkok Pride Youth and Global, expressed an overwhelming feeling of being at a loss for words.

Ms. Plaifah acknowledged the function that still needs to be done while recognizing this step. “It is not just about relationship, it is about family, ” she said. Where does gay people be if there are only mothers and fathers? ”

Transgender person Natthineethiti Phinyapincha, the founder and CEO of Trans Consulting Group, expressed her joy over the change in location for her and her partner to travel for a wedding. She emphasized the value of demonstrating the economical advantages of passing a marriage equality regulation and closing the gender gap between cultural change and economic impact.

“We are lacking data-driven evidence on why we need these policy changes for LGBTQ people, ” she said. “Once we have the information, we can help people understand that, well, this is an option, ” she said.

With more respected LGBTQ people in the workplace, she hopes to show their presence may increase work situations, challenging past views of their trust. When you realize how much soundness you have within your field and in your area of expertise, Natthineeethiti said, you can truly see how much durability you have. ( Story continues below )

This act, which featured guest chef Jitsak Limpakornkul from MasterChef Thailand Season 3, came too late because his companion passed away before they could get married. “ He would be happy, ” Mr Jitsak said.

I feel so happy for the latest technology and the coming generation, even though I would not have the opportunity to get this straight. ”

Because the pair was not married, Mr. Jitsak had no legal access to his partner’s figure after his passing and had many difficulties in planning the funeral. Moreover, he was unable to gain his partner’s assets.

He claimed it took more than 40 times before his family finally accepted him.

You ca n’t expect everyone to agree on it, he said, which is the problem with equal marriage that Thailand should have. “Right then, it ’s more about learning, it is all about motion, to show them that what has been approved is really benefiting people. ”

Paulie Nataya Paomephan, the host of Miss Trans Thailand 2023, stated at the community that love is primarily about respecting persons as individual people and supersedes sex.

She urged people to support other people and put a focus on raising awareness of the value of justice of passion.

“Do never forget to get time for yourself, like yourself more, ” added Mr Jitsak. You can spread like to everyone when your heart is filled with it. ”
