Beginning on Friday ( May 16 ), Creative Technology has appointed Mr. Freddy Sim, the younger brother of its late founder and billionaire entrepreneur Sim Wong Hoo, as its CEO.
Mr. Freddy Sim will be receiving a nominal monthly salary of S$ 1 ( US$ 0.80 ), the company announced on Friday evening in an announcement on the Singapore Exchange (SGX ). Mr. Freddy Sim previously served as chairman and CEO until his death in 2023.  ,
Creative Technology was established in 1981 and is best known for its Good Blaster audio cards. Digital pleasure products are created and produced by the business.  ,
Mr. Freddy Sim remarked,” This interview is an honor, and I will take on this new position in full acknowledgment that we are all building on what my brother Sim Wong Hoo started all those years ago.”

In its statement, Creative Technology claimed that Mr. Freddy Sim is a” experienced entrepreneur” with more than 40 years of experience in customer electronics and engineering.
His experience and trained leadership will continue to propel Creative forward on its renewal journey and momentum to produce market-leading innovative products, it added.
The interim CEO, Dr. Tan Jok Tin, likely continue as the executive chair.
