Court schedules pretrial meetings in iCon fraud case for next year

The plaintiff and accused in the image Group fraud case will have reading dates set for early in the coming year, according to the Ratchada Criminal Court on Monday.

The plaintiff, sign founder and CEO Warathaphon” Boss Paul” Waratyaworrakul, and 16 other folks are co-defendants, according to the Department of Special Investigation ( DSI). They are accused of operating a strong sales business without authorization, defrauding the people, and other crimes.

The plaintiffs are being held in the Central Women’s Correctional Institution and the Bangkok Remand Prison. On Monday morning, they were taken to the Criminal Court for the reading.

The DSI will present 41 files as well as 24 individual witnesses, including police, section of business development officers, bank employees, and accused ‘ close friends.

The plaintiff suggested six times of investigation. The judge took this into account and scheduled preliminary hearings for 2026’s February 18 to 20 and March 10 to 12 respectively.

The accused suggested calling on 11 witnesses, including representatives of those who had received money from the defendants as donations, Sitra Biabungkerd, a former MP, Witoon Kengngam, the attorney representing the party, and representatives of former members of the defendants.

The judge scheduled the preliminary hearing for March 31, April 2 and 3, 2026, after they requested three phases of assessment. &nbsp,
