Five consecutive days of single-digit conditions were observed on Doi Inthanon in Chiang Mai.
The Thai Meteorological Department predicts that the region’s North, Northeast, and Central areas may experience cool weather through January 9 with a cool spell lasting until January 9.
Forecasts indicate that some parts of the nation will experience chilly mornings, the ministry said on Friday.
Upper Thailand, the middle southern region, and the South China Sea may be blanketed by a solid warm air mass from China from now until January 2. These regions will experience lower heat and stronger breezes as a result. Northern temperatures will drop by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius. The heat will be between 5 and 11C.
Heat in the northern and central areas, including Bangkok and its surroundings, may fall by 1-3C. Between 18 and 23C will be the lowest heat in Bangkok and the surrounding regions. Between 4 and 10C will be the lowest in the North.
For the Southwestern place, a modest north rain will go over the Gulf of Thailand, resulting in more rainfall over the weekend. Up to 2 meters may be effected by ripples in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea. Between Monday and Thursday, the South will get less rain, experts said.
In Chiang Mai, however, heat on Doi Inthanon, the government’s tallest peak, have been in the second figures, with snow on the ground for five nights in a column. on Friday night, the formal low heat was -0.4C.
Kriangkrai Chaiphiset, mind of Doi Inthanon National Park, said the area has been welcoming some tourists wishing to experience the windy weather, while green Himalayan plum flowers are in full foliage, adding to the city’s elegance.
