Commonwealth Games chiefs hail 'track record' as Malaysia emerges as possible host

Malaysia’s Commonwealth Games Association president, Mohamad Norza Zakaria, described it as a “once in a lifetime opportunity” that will build on Kuala Lumpur’s 1998 victory and restore Malaysia to the global sports scene.

A CGF director said the organization was “in advanced, private conversations with potential visitors” and that Malaysia was not the only nation that had the ability to host the Games in 2026.

The director continued,” Malaysia has a great track record of delivering recreational activities, and the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur were incredibly successful.

We find their earlier plans to expand on this tradition by using many of the same world-class facilities inspiring.

As part of the Victoria withdrawal settlement, the spokesperson claimed that any potential host was eligible for up to$ 100 million in “financial and strategic support.”

CNA has contacted the CGF for more details regarding the different possible host cities it might be talking to about. &nbsp,
