COE premiums fall across the board; Cat B down by S$40,000

SINGAPORE: In the most recent bidding exercise on Wednesday ( Nov 8 ), Certificate of Entitlement ( COE ) premiums closed lower in all categories, with Category B Premiums falling by S$ 40, 000 ( US$ 29, 500 ).

In the most recent selling training, prices for all vehicles types reached new highs, but those for Category B&nbsp, which refers to larger and more powerful vehicles, decreased by 26.7 percent to S$ 110,001 from S$ 150, 001.

Prices for Open Category COEs, which can be used for any type of vehicle but are typically used primarily for large trucks, decreased by 20.9 percent to S$ 125, 011 from S$ 158, 004.

Premiums for Category A vehicles, or those with watts no higher than 130 bhp, closed at S$ 95, 689, a decrease from S$ 106 000 in the previous exercise.

Commercial vehicle COEs, which also include items vehicles and cars, decreased from$ 84, 790 to$ 78,001 in the previous buying process.

Motorcycle rates decreased from S$ 11, 201 in the previous training to close at S$ 10, 889.

A limit of 2, 411 COEs was available, and a full of 3, 133 requests were accepted.

The COE quota for the quarter from November 2023 to January 2024 will be raised further, the Land Transport Authority ( LTA ) announced last week.

In addition to the 1, 895 newly announced COEs from next month, 1, 614 Category A, B, and C were also reallocated.

As a result, there were 14, 388 Submissions available for the quarter.
