
In the most recent bidding exercise on Wednesday ( May 7 ), Category A and Category B cars both saw increases in Certificate of Entitlement ( COE ) premiums.
For Category A cars, or those 1, 600cc and below with horsepower not exceeding 130bhp, premiums closed at S$ 103, 009 ( US$ 79, 802 ), up from S$ 99, 500 in the last exercise.
For the first time since October of last year, Cat A prices have exceeded S$ 100,000.
The prices for larger and more potent vehicles in Category B increased to S$ 119, 890 from S$ 117, 003, while Open class COEs, which can be used for any type of vehicle but are primarily used for significant cars, increased to S$ 188, 889 from S$ 181, 001, their highest levels since January.
In the previous selling training, COEs for corporate cars decreased from S$ 65, 001 to S$ 62, 590. COEs for merchandise vehicles and buses also decreased.
Motorcycle prices closed at S$ 8, 709, along from S$ 9, 309 in the previous exercise.
4, 896 proposals were submitted, and there were 3, 094 COEs accessible overall.
