Thaksin’s child to get proposed as government’s next prime minister at House appointment on Friday

When the House of Representatives meets on Friday, the events in the partnership state will vote to elect Paetongtarn Shinawatra as the nation’s future prime minister.

The 37-year-old daughter of former top and Pheu Thai father Thaksin Shinawatra would become the youngest perfect secretary in the country’s history if her election is approved. Srettha Thavisin, who was dismissed on Wednesday due to an honest violation, would take her place.

After Thaksin and her uncle Yingluck, Ms. Paetongtarn would also be the fourth Shinawatra family member to hold the position. Thaksin’s brother-in-law Somchai Wongsawat even served dimly in the position in 2008.

At a press event on Thursday night, she was given a surprise announcement about her choice. It was reported earlier that important partnership figures met at Thaksin’s home on Wednesday night and decided to pick Chaikasem Nitisiri, 75, a previous justice minister and attorney-general.

However, reports emerged on Thursday night that some Pheu Thai MPs and coalition parties opposed Mr. Chaikasem’s election. They noted that when he was Pheu Thai’s plan captain, he had once declared aid for amending the der guess rules.

As the Move Forward Party learned earlier this month, officials can express their opinions on the laws at their own risk. The Constitutional Court disbanded it because the group’s proposed amendments to Section 112 of the Criminal Code threatened the constitutional monarchy.

The Pheu Thai executive board on Thursday evening selected Ms. Paetongtarn as the group’s prospect.

” I appreciate my nomination, Pheu Thai Party and partnership parties.” At the push event, Ms. Paetongtarn stated that she will do everything in her power to help the country out of its financial crisis.

She added that she regrets that Mr. Srettha was fired because he had put in a lot of effort.

She was surrounded by officials of the Bhumjaithai, Palang Pracharath, Chartthaipattana, Prachachat, Chart Pattana Kla, Sereeruamthai and Thai Ruamphalang events. The coalition has a total of 314 Members in the 493-seat House.

Fatherly tips

Ms. Paetongtarn added that her parents had prior experience with the prime minister and was ready to help her.

Acting Thai prime minister Phumtham Wechayachai confirmed that Pheu Thai’s MPs supported Ms. Paetongtarn, and he also expressed desire that Thaksin would follow her suggestions.

Anutin Charnvirakul, the head of the Bhumjaithai Party, earlier on Thursday stated that his party would help any candidate Pheu Thai put forth for the vote on Friday.

Bhumjaithai is the coalition’s second-largest group, and Mr. Anutin was even viewed as a strong candidate for the position of premier.

All partnership events, according to Pheu Thai Secretary-General Sorawong Thienthong, will support Ms. Paetongtarn’s victory on Friday.

Friday at 10 a.m. is when the House session will start. The new prime minister must be approved by a simple bulk of the 493 people.

Ms. Paetongtarn graduated from Chulalongkorn University with a bachelor’s degree in political science, and England’s University of Surrey, where she earned a master’s degree in resort management.

With a 28.5 % interest in the SET-listed real estate developer that was run by Ms. Yingluck, she is the largest investor of SC Asset Corp. She serves as the head of Rende Development Co’s resort division, which is led by her girl, Pintongta Shinawatra Kunakornwong, and has a significant investment in the opulent Rosewood Hotel in Bangkok.

Ms. Paetongtarn will have to abandon her business responsibilities and follow share ownership guidelines before taking on the premiership.

A girl and a brother were born next year during Ms. Paetongtarn and her spouse Pitaka Suksawat’s election campaign.
