Chuvit faces defamation charges

In connection with remarks he made next yr about Pol Lt. Col. Santhana Prayoonrat, a previous Special Branch assistant superintendent, past politician Chuvit Kamolvisit is currently facing libel and slander costs.

On November 9, 2022, Mr. Chuvit, 62, publicly challenged the 64-year-old former police officer to a fistfight, which led to the claims. The event was broadcast across the country and took place in front of authorities and the media.

According to the lawsuit filed on Friday, the vocal former member of Parliament was overheard making disparaging and threatening remarks toward Pol Lt Col Santhana.

According to the lawsuit, Mr. Chuvit’s verbal assault had a negative effect on the popularity of Pol Lt. Col. Santhana, who later sought legal redress for defamation.

But, after an initial trial in June of this year, investigators were unable to pursue legal action against Mr. Chuvit as planned. As a result, the Fourth District Court Office was given permission to charge the well-known whistleblower. He is presently scheduled to go on trial as a result.

Mr. Chuvit has been informed of the accusations leveled against him and has invoked his appropriate to have his right upheld. He apparently stated that he would pay the target back.

Dec. 21 is the date set for a safety reading. Mr. Chuvit, who has been receiving treatment for cancer and has taken a step up from his well-known knights, has received temporary release up until that point.

In a past event, Pol Lt. Col. Santhana reported drug abuse at an entertainment facility in Mr. Chuvit’s resort to the authorities. In reply, Mr. Chuvit, a former massage parlor power, insisted that Pol Lt. Col. Santhana was after him because he had revealed illegal activities and purported police complicity in being associated with the Chinese offense syndicate.
