Christian Ho to race for Formula 3 team DAMS this season, first Singaporean driver to do so

Christian Ho, a former Singaporean drivers, will join European group DAMS Lucas Oil for the 2025 Formula 3 year.

DAMS announced the 18-year-old as one of their drivers on Wednesday ( Jan 15 ), alongside teammates&nbsp, Matias Zagazeta of Peru and Italy’s Nicola Lacorte, as the team gears up for its F3 championship debut. &nbsp,

F3 is a feeder competition series two levels below Formula 1, and it has provided various F1 drivers with breeding grounds, including Alpine’s Pierre Gasly and the Williams duo of Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon.

” I’m thrilled to be working for DAMS Lucas Oil and delighted to be Singapore’s first F3 vehicle. I’m excited to be working with them and learning as much as I can because DAMS Lucas Oil is a powerful team and they have a lot of practice in race,” Ho said.

DAMS are making their first presence in F3, but they have remained a staple in F2 since 1989.

The likes of Gasly, Albon, Nicholas Latifi, Romain Grosjean and&nbsp, Kamui Kobayashi all cut their smile at the&nbsp, Le Mans-based group before becoming F1 drivers. &nbsp,

Ho is aware of the player’s rich history in racing, which includes 31 international tournaments and 173 championship successes, but the girl is eager to take the next step.

” It’s my first time driving in Formula 3, both for myself and the team, and there will definitely be difficulties or difficulties along the way,” said I. I had a solid season in the Eurocup-3 last year and I hope to continue that form this time”, he said. &nbsp,

We want to compete in the set, which is one of the most difficult in the world, so we’re going to work hard and improve our efforts to produce the best possible outcomes up.

DAMS group owner and former F1 vehicle, Charles Pic, believes Ho will fit right in. &nbsp,

” His speed during the testing time was remarkable, and he has a fantastic race resume. It’s remarkable that he is the first vehicle from his country to compete in F3, said Pic. &nbsp,

The 10-race final opens from Mar 14 to 16, before ending in Monza, Italy from Sep 5 to 7.
