Chinese motorcyclists join Chongqing wildfire battle

Throughout August, wildfires raged across parts of Cina, triggered by a report long heatwave and drought. Thousands of medical personnel were mobilised across the nation.

Around the south-western city of Chongqing, which was among the worst-hit areas, nearby off-road motorcyclists joined up with the effort, transporting emergency workers and important supplies to places that were otherwise hard to reach.

Two from the volunteers spoke towards the BBC about their own efforts and arriving face to face with the effects of climate change.
