Chinese embassies in India, Pakistan, Nepal advise caution amid conflict

In the midst of the worst fighting in the region in nearly three decades, the Chinese embassies in India and Pakistan on Friday ( May 9 ) advised citizens to take extra precautions and be cautious when visiting the South Asian nations.

Since India struck a number of locations in Pakistan on Wednesday in retaliation for a fatal attack on Hindu visitors in American Kashmir last month, the nuclear-armed neighbors have been fighting.

Individual statements from the offices advised Chinese residents in India and Pakistan to carefully monitor the situation and strengthen security measures.

In a speech posted on its social media account on Friday, Beijing’s ambassador in Nepal even advised people to stay away from areas along the Nepal-India borders.

According to the military, Chinese people should avoid entering India without a valid card without a valid card because Nepal and India have an open borders, and both countries have increased security work along their borders as a result of the heightened tensions.
