Chinese couple arrested for mailing heroin to Australia

A Chinese language couple have been caught after 4 kilogrammes of heroin had been found inside a package they mailed in order to Australia from Thailand.

Armed with an arrest justify dated July twenty five issued by the Legal Court, narcotics supression police on Monday apprehended Jun Dai, 42, and his mate Jiali Xie, 28, in front of a khao guy kai (steamed rice capped with chicken) store in tambon Rai Khing in Mike Phran district, Nakhon Pathom province.

Narcotics Reductions Bureau commissioner Pol Lt Gen Sarayuth Sanguanpokhai said on Tuesday that the NSB had examined the parcel which was delivered by postal support to Australia. Inside, they found 4. 19kg  of heroin. The senders from the parcel were Jun Dai and Jiali Xie.

A warrant had been obtained from the Legal Court, leading to the arrest of the couple in Nakhon Pathom. They were charged your category one medication (heroin) in possession and attempting to smuggle it out of the nation.

Police also impounded their assets, which included six condominium rooms in Bangkok’s Ratchada and Sathorn areas and Pattaya, a car, cash and gold — worth about 9. 3 million baht in total – for investigation whether they had been obtained with the earnings of drug trafficking.

The 2 suspects denied the particular charges, saying they will sent the parcel for some other people, not aware that it contained medicines.

They were handed over to the NSB’s Division 3 designed for legal proceedings.
