China to stage major drills around Taiwan after Pelosi visit

BEIJING: China is due on Thursday (Aug 4) to kick off its largest-ever military exercises encircling Taiwan, in a show of power straddling vital worldwide shipping lanes carrying out a visit to the self-ruled island by ALL OF US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
