China starts second day of war games around Taiwan

” DEFEND FREEDOM”

Taiwan is a part of China’s place, and it has pledged to impose itself upon it by force if necessary.

Thursday and Friday’s drills involve aircraft and ships surrounding the island to test their combat capabilities, China’s People’s Liberation Army ( PLA ) said.

Taiwan responded on Thursday by deploying heat, earth and sea troops, with the island’s military government vowing to “defend freedom”.

In a statement on Thursday evening, President Lai declared that he would” walk on the front line” to defend Taiwan without making any direct reference to the continuous training.

” Faced with physical challenges and threats, we may continue to defend the values of freedom and democracy, and prevent peace and stability in the region”, he said.

China has frequently branded Lai a “dangerous secessionist” who would provide “war and drop” to the area.

Beijing was more incensed with his opening statement on Monday in which he hailed a “glorious” time for Taiwan’s politics.

The training, which began on Thursday night, are taking position in the Taiwan Strait and to the north, west and east of the island, as well as places around the Taipei- administered archipelago of Kinmen, Matsu, Wuqiu and Dongyin.

China’s defense put out a series of advertisements touting what it called its” combination- sea lethality”. They featured missiles, jets and marine vessels next to the body- stained text.

” The tool aimed at ‘ Taiwan independence’ to shoot’ independence’ is already in location”, it declared.

As of around 8pm on Thursday, Taipei’s military government said 49 planes and helicopters had been detected since the training began at 7.20am. Five of the aeroplane had already crossed the median line that separates the Taiwan Strait.
