China honours woman who died saving Japanese family

A Chinese mother and her child were being defended from a blade strike by a Chinese woman.

When a Chinese lady and her child were attacked at a vehicle quit outside a Chinese university, Hu Youping was employed as a school bus operator in Suzhou province.

She injured herself inflicting severe pain on him in an effort to control him.

Online homage to her have poured in, and the local government has stated that she will be given the title of” Virtuous and Courageous Role Model.”

In honor of Ms. Hu, the Chinese embassy in China even reduced its flag to half-mast. In a statement on Weibo, the embassy said it was” saddened” to hear of her death.

” We believe]Ms Hu’s ] courage and kindness also represent that of the Chinese people. We applaud her brave activities. Perhaps she rest in peace”, it said.

On Chinese social media, there was a similar undercurrent of sympathies and reward.

Another described Ms Hu as an “ordinary, noble, valiant Chinese girl”.

The attack, which took place on Monday, saw the mother and son combo injured, though their wounds were no existence- threatening.

It follows another stabbing earlier this month which injured four US university instructors at a park in Jilin, in China’s northeast.

Taiwanese officials had said the two problems were “isolated” situations.

The native Japanese community expressed concern as a result of the stabbing in Suzhou, which caused the embassy to matter a safety alert urging China’s citizens to take precautions while away.

In China, there have been numerous knife problems recently.

In May, two people were killed and 10 others injured in such an attack at a primary school in the southern Jiangxi province. Another stabbing that same month saw two dead and 21 wounded at a hospital in Yunnan.

In July last year, six people, including three children, were killed in a stabbing at a kindergarten in the south-eastern province of Guangdong.
