China and Russia stage first joint bomber patrol near Alaska

A shared guard by Russia and China has been conducted over the Bering Sea and the north of the Pacific Ocean.

Russia often flys its aircraft over the Bering Sea, and the two nations have conducted numerous joint patrols in the past.

The first joint guard, however, on Wednesday brought up aircraft from both North and South Korea.

Moscow and Beijing said it was” not aimed at any third party”, while the US-Canadian North American Aerospace Defense Command ( NORAD ) said the bombers, which it intercepted, stayed in international airspace and were” not seen as a threat”.

However, Senator Murkowski from Alaska called the incident an “unprecedented offense by our enemies,” adding that it was” the first time they have been intercepted operating up.

China has stated that the police “has nothing to do with the recent regional and international situation.”

Russian TU-95MS proper weapon carriers and the Chinese heat agency’s Xian H-6 tactical bombers were deployed, according to Russia.

Since Moscow was put under punishment by the West following its invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, China and Russia have grown closer ally. The US and the European Union watch any sign of deepening assistance with suspicion.

Moscow and Beijing completed their third joint naval guard in the northern and western Pacific Ocean earlier this month.

At the conclusion of a new summit in Washington, the nations of the NATO accused China of being a “decisive facilitator” of Russia’s war in Ukraine and demanded that it “cease all material and democratic support” for the nation’s war effort.

The US Department of Defense expressed concern over the two nations ‘ “growing alignment” in a statement on Arctic safety released on Monday, and it predicted that their defense cooperation would continue to grow.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov rejected this, saying Russian-Chinese participation in the Arctic may only lead to an environment of” stability and predictability” in the area.
