Twenty-two charitable foundations have launched an auction intended for 22 Royal New edition Leica cameras, M10-P, to help those in need.

The foundations kept a press meeting yesterday at the Athenee Hotel in Bangkok to announce the particular bidding.

The limited-edition-camera campaign was based on an initiative by Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi, the TOP DOG of ThaiBev, Thailand’s largest beverage firm, said Nitikorn Kraiwichien, head of the Asia Photography Promotion Base.

Mister Thapana, who also served as a previous president of the Asia Photography Association, saw the campaign as a way of celebrating the Royal Coronation associated with King Vajiralongkorn, stated Mr Nitikorn. This individual said 30 devices were produced: 10 yellow cameras each priced at 1, five hundred, 000 baht, and 20 green digital cameras worth one million baht each. Of these, six were given towards the Royal Family, while two were kept away — a single in ThaiBev’s museum and the other in Leica’s museum.

“We originally had these cameras made to sell towards the public, with the idea of giving the money to the King so can use it for his charitable donations, inch Mr Nitikorn mentioned. “But there was so much demand for them that will Mr Thapana decided to make a bigger share to society by buying all the remaining twenty two cameras and donating them to 22 charitable foundations including the Nationwide Kidney Foundation Singapore. ”

He said ThaiBev also sought authorization to inscribe the particular Royal Coronation Logo on them. Bidders must register with Christie’s Thailand, an auction house, at least one 7 days before the event on Sept 30 from Queen Sirikit Nationwide Convention Centre whilst one camera will be auction in Singapore.
