Pale Ubumrung, a former Bangkok MP for the Pheu Thai Party, confirmed on Saturday that his dad Chalerm, a former PPPPP member, will relocate there.

This month, Mr. Wan left his position as the coalition government’s main group. He had come under fire in Pheu Thai lines for “fraternising” with a group foe, who happened to be an old family friend, while watching the vote-counting in a new regional election.

Mr Chalerm, 77, has also expressed a desire to change events. He would still be a list-MP for Pheu Thai, so the group would need to decide whether to remove him in accordance with his intentions.

On Tuesday, the same day the group is scheduled to hold a conference, Mr. Wan announced that he intended to apply for participation in Palang Pracharath.

He and his parents met on Friday with Gen Prawit Wongsuwon, the PPRP chief, who served as deputy prime minister in the previous military-linked state. Additionally, Palan Pracharath is a member of the latest coalition.

The Five Provinces Bordering Forest Preservation Foundation, located at the 1st Infantry Regiment advanced in Phaya Thai region, where Gen. Prawit reside and handles all of his political organization, hosted the discussions.

Gen Prawit, who also chairs the base, asked Mr Chalerm to walk to the PPRP, to which the first agreed. However, the move wo n’t be possible as long as he continues to be a Pheu Thai list-MP, according to a source with knowledge of the discussions.

On Saturday, Mr. Chalerm stated that he has known Gen. Prawit for more than 30 times and that he intends to meet the PPRP.

He said he will add the PPRP soon after Pheu Thai removes him, noting that he had never requested an important position in exchange for the decision.

Mr. Wan and his son, Archawin Ubumrung, who is now an advisor to the minister of digital economy and society, may both transition to the PPRP.

Former police captain Mr. Chalerm, who is a very powerful former police officer, has spent more than 40 years in the political fraternity and held senior governmental positions in several governments.

The Ubumrung family has long been their political home in the Bang Bon city of Bangkok, but Move Forward newcomer Rukchanok Srinork won over him by more than 20 000 votes when they ran for office in May of last year.
