Chaiwat Limlikit-aksorn, the former chief of Kaeng Krachan National Park accused of being involved in the disappearance and murder of the Karen rights activist, yesterday maintained their innocence and stated he was ready to fight the charges in court.
Mr Chaiwat was reacting to media reports the Office of the Attorney-General had decided to indict him and 3 others over the disappearance and death associated with Porlajee “Billy” Rakchongcharoen in 2014.
He said he had evidence to prove his chasteness in court. Nevertheless , Mr Chaiwat stated the case against him had something to do with his campaign against forest encroachment and human trafficking.
He also wondered the timing of the criminal lawsuit which he said emerged shortly after his ask for to be reinstated being a civil servant has been granted by Phetchaburi’s Administrative Court.
