Chaikasem Nitisiri, a former justice minister and Pheu Thai Party member, has confirmed that he is prepared to be the next prime minister, refuted accounts of his wellbeing.

The 75-year-old candidate for the position of prime minister on Thursday gave an interview to the” Democratic Watch” program on Thai PBS television and stated that he is prepared to carry out his duties if parliament approves him. &nbsp,

He noted that Pheu Thai had informed him that a vote in parliament on Friday would select him as its candidate for the 31st prime minister.

Mr. Chaikasem, a former attorney general under the Yingluck Shinawatra management, reaffirmed that despite having undergone procedure for a blood clot, his health would not prevent him from serving. He was hospitalized in Nan territory in April of last year, but he has since recovered after receiving treatment for three months, and there are no ongoing health issues.

Due to the current social uncertainty, he claimed, more precision is required regarding the election. He reported that he had no criticism at the moment, but aid from other coalition parties is also crucial.

On Thursday, Pheu Thai held a conference to choose between Paetongtarn Shinawatra, 37, and Mr. Chaikasem as their ultimate choice.

Anutin Charnvirakul, the head of Bhumjaithai, announced on Thursday that his party would support the incumbent prime minister of Pheu Thai ahead of Friday’s legislative election. Bhumjaithai is the second-largest group in the government’s partnership.

Following the Constitutional Court’s decision to reject Srettha Thavisin on Wednesday, the House of Representatives did vote on a new prime minister on Friday.

After discussions with former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra on Wednesday evening at his mother’s Ban Chan Song La house on Soi Charan Sanitwong 69 in Bangkok’s Bang Phlat area, essential government figures reportedly agreed to put Mr. Chaikasem’s brand forward.

Mr. Srettha removed his name as prime minister from his social media accounts on Thursday morning by switching his report photos from Facebook and X and showing himself in a match with his animal dog.

Some netizens offered him spiritual help.
