CCTV footage shows ‘conflicting accounts’ of officer’s killing

Conflicting accounts have been provided by people who were present at a dinner party on September 6 that resulted in the death of an officer, according to files retrieved from the CCTV client that was previously set up at the home of tambon Takong main Praween Chankhlai in Nakhon Pathom.

Highway police agent Pol Maj Sivakorn Saibua was killed by gunfire, and another highway patrol official Lt Col Wasin Pandee was hurt. Thananchai Manmak, the shooter, was later killed in a shootout with the police in the state of Kanchanaburi.

The assistant federal police commander, Pol Gen Surachate Hakparn, announced on Thursday that Mr. Praween’s home had 15 surveillance monitors installed.

Two CCTV machines were taken down and dumped into a river in tambon Takong after the shooting, he claimed, in an apparent effort to obliterate facts.

According to Pol Gen Surachate, the machines were found, and criminal police were able to recover files pertaining to 13 security cameras. Law enforcement officials were able to identify people present at the scene and their deeds both before and after the killing thanks to the clear audio and video provided by the recovered CCTV footage, he claimed.

He stated that two surveillance camera-related files were being salvaged and were scheduled to be made available for review yesterday.

Two video cameras were unplugged just before Thananchai shot Pol Maj Sivakorn, he claimed, leading police to suspect a tale to carry out the violence.

” They pulled the plug on the two cameras because they knew that[ Thananchai ] would shoot Pol Maj Sivakorn ,” he said.

More than 56 people, including police and residents, were present at the group, according to Pol Gen Surachate. He added that they were questioned and that some were detained and charged over suspected ties to the murder.

Nevertheless, he claimed that the interrogators’ statements were found to be contradictory in comparison to what was seen in the film. So, he continued, another round of questioning is to be conducted.

According to the footage, almost all of the party’s police and civilians were armed, and after the shooter fired his second shot, no one attempted to interfere, he claimed.

According to him, there are three groups of people who were present at the picture: those who attended the two officers officers’ hospitalizations, the ones who left, and those that stayed.

The shooter was really Thananchai, according to Pol Gen Surachate.

After the files from the two film cameras are recovered and examined, it may be determined whether or not Mr. Praween gave Thananchai the order to commit the crime.

He claimed that one of the servers discovered in the river was still being saved by criminal police.
