It is, rather, a misguided and distasteful reboot, seeking to tease the movie’s premise into a larger mystery. ‘Cobra Kai’ hasn’t lost its kick as it keeps ‘Karate Kid’-ing around

Crossing the streams with its sequels, the fifth season of “Cobra Kai” features heavy dollops of the second and third “The Karate Kid” movies while continue to carve out its own next-generation melodrama, all in extraordinarily nimble fashion. ‘Pinocchio’ transforms the little puppet made of wood into a film that’s not so good

Even taking it as a given that Disney’s animated classics will certainly all receive live-action makeovers eventually, “Pinocchio” feels like an unnecessary exercise — a movie so flat that it never sparks to life, and barely seems as if it’s making the leap in to a different medium.
