A South-bound passenger train struck a man and struck him at a station passing in the Thung Song region late on Friday morning, causing a man to escape with injuries.

According to Pol Capt Sunan Nunong, assistant research chief at Kapang police station in Thung Song neighborhood, who was called at around 10.30am, the accident took place at a passing about 200 meters away from Ti Wang railroad depot.

Officers found a Toyota vehicle with Nakhon Si Thammarat licensing sheets, its top badly broken, near the rail tracks. &nbsp, The pilot, whose name was not immediately disclosed, sustained injury and was sent to Thung Song Hospital before the officers arrived.

A police investigation found that the coach traveling on the Bangkok-Kantang course in Trang state made its way to Ti Wang railroad station soon before the collision. The car immediately drove through the cross and was struck after the coach left the station. &nbsp,

The top end of the car was hacked by the power of the collision, which caused the front end to fall off the tracks. Before stopping for a while before continuing its journey to the Kantang city, the coach stopped.

Despite the presence of warning signs, according to local residents, trains and lorries were frequently involved in collisions at the bridge cross.
