Car bomb outside police flat kills 1, injures 16 in Yala

YALA: On Sunday morning, a bomb detonated in front of a police building in the Bannang Sata city of this southern border province killing at least one person and injuring 16 others.

Around 10:30 a.m., the blast occurred in front of the Bannang Sata authorities station’s apartment. The location is in Bannang Sata city, which is close to the city office and a business.

Glass windows and ceiling tiles in the apartment and nearby homes were damaged by the explosion’s effect. Authorities feared that more bombings might occur at the fire page.

The bomb was planted in a violet Toyota vehicle stolen from a government agency on Saturday, according to Provincial Police Region 9 director Pol Lt Gen Piyawat Chalermsri. It was registered in Yala’s Betong area, and it caught fire as a result. Located cars were damaged.

Justice Minister Tawee Sodsong eventually identified the dead tutor as 45-year-old Rokiyoh Sarana, who was passing by the image when the bomb detonated. She was a Bannang Sata local.

Of the 16 wounded people, six were officers soldiers and ten were local people. Five were really hurt by glass and debris. Additionally, the injured people experienced stomach problems. They were treated at Bannangsata Hospital.
