Car bomb injures 2 soldiers, damages houses

A car bomb detonated close to the Tak Bai city chief’s residence later on Sunday night, injuring two troops and ignominating homes in this far-south province.

At 9:51 p.m. on Sunday, the explosion took place close to Jirat Siriwanlop, the head of the Tak Bai area, in the town of Moo 3 in tambon Jeh Hay. Mr. Jirat apparently lived in the Muang region at the time.

The explosion seriously injured Pvt Kantayot Binrim, 22, and Pvt Anuwat Hemara, 22, who were off work and were buying foods. They were covered in burn and debris all over. They were referred to Naradhiwasrajanagarindra Hospital and then sent to Sangat Bai Hospital. &nbsp,

Additionally, the weapon went off in a major way, seriously causing damage to nearby homes. &nbsp,

Sources said about five men, who covered their faces, parked a fresh, metal MG vehicle at the landscape and left on motorcycles. The vehicle exploded soon after.

About an hour prior, about five kilometers from the blast page, the car was stolen. The property’s user is a military ranger’s wife.

Tak Bai is back in the news lately as the Tak Bai slaughter case’s statute of limitations expires on October 25.
