According to Deputy Finance Minister Paopoom Rojanasakul on Tuesday, the government has approved a document law creating a “retirement lotto” to assist people in saving money on ticket purchases.
He said the bill to set up a National Savings Fund ( NSF ) will now be vetted by the Council of State, the government’s legal advisory body, before it is tabled for parliament’s deliberation.  ,
Mr Paopoom said that under the proposed system, no income spent on the lottery, yet on purchases of losing cards, may be lost.
” Every ringgit spent on the jackpot will go toward the buyer ‘ discounts, he said.  ,
NSF people and self-employed individuals who are covered by Section 40 of the Social Security Fund would be able to purchase tickets for the retirement lottery.
These people would be able to obtain tickets for up to 3, 000 baht each quarter. The cards may charge 50 baht each. The victors would become announced every Friday at 5pm, with five one-million-baht prizes each year, along with a 1, 000-baht pay for 10, 000 another wonderful seat holders.
Winners would be able to claim the medals right away, but only after the age of 60 can they return the money spent on the cards. The NSF may handle the spending until next.
The number of NSF clients should be increased from three million to about 16-17 million, according to another scheme goal.
